Peaceful At Home Pet Euthanasia in Chichester
When the time comes to consider a peaceful goodbye for your pet, Gentle Paws Farewell are here to support you with calm, compassionate care at home. Based in Chichester, we provide pet euthanasia in West Sussex and Hampshire, helping families through a difficult decision in familiar surroundings. Each visit is led by an experienced vet and shaped around what feels right for you, your family and your pet, with clear guidance and all the time you need.

Compassionate Support From an Experienced Vet
Gentle Paws Farewell was founded by Dr Marina Tazon (MRCVS BVetMed Hons) who has supported pets and their families for over 14 years. As a vet and a pet owner, Marina understands how important it is to have time, privacy and reassurance when saying farewell. After experiencing a stressful out of hours visit where she could not say goodbye in the way she wanted, Marina set out to offer families a gentler option: a calm visit at home where your pet can be surrounded by familiar voices, scents and comfort. Throughout every step, our focus is kindness, dignity and a supportive pace.

Our Services
Families need different levels of support, so we keep things straightforward with a few clear options you can choose from.

Home Pet Euthanasia
Learn More About Home Pet EuthanasiaOur home visits take place in the comfort of your own home, where your pet can remain settled in a familiar environment. We begin by meeting you and your pet, explaining what to expect and answering any questions you may have. Appointments are up to 1 hour 30 minutes long, where we follow your pace, give you time to say goodbye and only proceed when you feel ready. Urgent appointments are often available, so contact us as early as you can if you are concerned about your pet’s condition.

Pet Cremation & Aftercare Choices
Learn More About Pet Cremation & Aftercare ChoicesAfter saying farewell, you can choose to keep your pet at home for home burial, or choose cremation. If cremation is selected, we carefully transport your pet to a crematorium with dignity and respect. Private cremation includes ashes returned where selected and communal cremation (cremation at home) does not include the return of ashes. Families are also welcome to arrange their own aftercare if they prefer. If you are unsure which option is best, we will talk everything through with you.

Euthanasia at the Crematorium
Start BookingFor families who feel more comfortable outside the home, we can arrange euthanasia at a crematorium for your dog or cat. This option offers a quiet, private setting with an experienced vet guiding you calmly through the visit. You will have time to be together and ask questions, and we will move at a pace that feels right. After saying farewell, cremation arrangements can be handled smoothly in the same place, with clear aftercare choices explained in advance.

A Calm, Dignified Approach for You and Your Pet
Saying farewell at home offers comfort, privacy and a quieter atmosphere for both pets and their families. Familiar surroundings can help reduce stress for pets who find travel or new environments unsettling, while giving families the space to be together through this difficult moment. Our service is led by an experienced vet, with clear explanations, gentle handling and support throughout the visit. This can be especially helpful for families with children at home, pets that are anxious or reactive and owners who may find travel difficult.
